What Are We Thankful for at Trinity Prep?

What are we thankful for at Trinity Prep?  We are thankful for SO much. I (Leslie) am particularly thankful for the FREEDOMS we have in America. The freedom to educate our children as God leads. The freedom to teach our children about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The freedom to WORSHIP.  We worship at school in Chapel, and throughout the day as we point our students to Jesus.  And, throughout our school day we also "pray without ceasing," as the Apostle Paul exhorted us to do. The freedom to choose curriculum for our students, not dictated to us by any government.  And the blessing of small class sizes . . . Our 2017-18 4th grade class. The freedom our parents enjoy to work with their children at home as best suits their family.  Our educational partnership allows for so much flexibility in how the at-home days are structured and can be customized by parent and child. O (Trinity Prep) Pioneers!

Two weeks ago, our 4th grade students could be found in a one-room school house: -  Writing on slate boards to work math problems on their laps. -  Standing at attention to answer teacher questions. -  Relying on a wood stove to keep warm in the chilly November weather. -  Sitting on one side for boys, and the other side for girls, but everyone sitting up straight and tall on wooden benches. - Dressed in pioneer clothes and reading McGuffey's Eclectic Primer. It was Pioneer School Day for Trinity Prep 4th graders at  Log Cabin Village in Ft. Worth!   Mrs. Wickham reading math problems to our students. Our Pioneer Students! Students from both Mrs. Hague's Mon/Wed class and Mrs. Wickham's Tues/Thurs class enjoyed Mrs. Wickham teaching in the one-room schoolroom for the morning, then a picnic lunch outside, then a tour through the blacksmith cabin, the Texas dog-run style pioneer home, the candlemaker cabin, the carpenter cabin, and ...
